A Few Costume Sketches
Every member of the production team works hard, but I sometimes think the costumer’s job is one of the most challenging. Beginning with a knowledge of historical styles and a knack for restyling thrift store finds, all the way through borrowing from other costume stock, building a costume from scratch, and dealing with “stage blood” and fake noses, the costumer’s bag of tricks is substantial. Sarah and her helpers will be busy the next few weeks. Here are a few of her sketches for The Final Toast.
The first two are for Holmes and Thrace.

The next is for the character Jack Dawes, and in the final sketch are costumes for Regina and Nicholas. Yes, that little note does indeed say “finger extension.” Hmmmm…I wonder what that could mean?
